BillM offered and I accepted his help. We brought it home today!
Here are a couple pics, more to come of course.

Take note, that hood (bonnet) will be the first thing to go!

The hood tho not suited really for the car may be the answer to some one eles prayers. Work looks well done you may want to E-Bay the hood and suplement the stock bonnet. very nice looking car

Rick, seems like you found a nice example (exepting that god-awful bonnet!).

What work does it need? Rust, engine, etc.??

Kind of has the big healy feel. As far as hood mods thats a nice one I bet you could sell it to some one doing a engine swap. Healy 2000 s?

I hadn't thought about selling it.
Maybe I could make enough to have one of my other hoods painted?
That would be cool.

Metal or glass?
I will have to check and get back to you.

If someone will buy it I might be able to afford to have my other hood professionally painted to match the car!

The car looks really nice Rick. The hood doesn't really look that bad to me either, and it does look like a good job from the pictures.

Yes, I just checked and it is definitely steel.
Heavy too.

I just want the nice graceful lines of the Sprite on this one.
My Midget is for modifying, this one I want to be pretty & graceful.
Maybe it's just sentimentality.

I don't mind the hood all that much either but was a bit to much of a [censored] to say anything. It's sorta cool. Maybe on the right 1500 RB.

Does it suffer from the dreaded crooked signal syndrome (late left fender and early right)?

Yes, it seems all these cars have it.
Are we sure they didn't leave the factory this way?

Anyway, I have a pair of 69 fenders that are in pretty good shape so if I wanted to I could solve it on this car.

A lot of people have them that way for years and don't realize until it's pointed out. They should have just left them where they were when they narrowed the bumper.

Scott needs that hood on his race car!
