From another post, I got to wondering, yes, I know that is a dangerous thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How often do you Waxoyl your MGB? I keep mine garaged and dry clean it. May use a water washing once a year. Can't remember when I did that last. Of course, Waxoyl was one of the first things I did when I got her home.

Thanks for the input.

In Sweden I waxoyled my Mini yearly since it was being driven in all weathers, salty slush included... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
The way you use and store your MGB once should be enough, with a possible touch-up if you come across some 'bald spot'.
May she last forever. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Where all do you apply it? (gee is my PA Dutch showing?) DO you do the wheelwells and other body parts or just the black painted frame and suspension parts?

Bruce74B,

In Lindsay Porter's "Guide To Purchase & D.I.Y. Restoration Of The MGB" there is a section, Rust Prevention, that gives you an illustrated way to do it. Basically, if I was in doubt, I Waxoyl'd it. However, I did manage to "de-ground" a ground wire in my zeal of the project. Also did it in the HEAT of the summer. Was a bit messy as the excess ran for a bit.

Thanks for the reply Carl, wish they all would last!!
