Water pump leak

Fired up my BN2 for the first time in three years and the
Water pump seems to have sprung a leak. It is dripping
Rather steadily from the bottom mounting bolt. Everything
Is tight. Water is not spraying around so I would not think
It is the shaft seal. Could this just be a gasket or could a problem
Have surfaced with the pump. It is about ten years old from
Moss.

Make sure you can pinpoint the leak. Gravity takes all leaks to the bottom. Trying running the engine for awhile to see if it seals up after a long period of disuse. If not, then try resealing the gasket with Hylomar or other sealing. If it is a shaft seal issue, a new pump may be in order.

Well a new pump was in order and has been ordered. Leak got progressively worse as it ran more and was definitely coming from the shaft seal. Thanks for the help.
