TR5/TR250 Water pump housing removal advice

Howdy all! It's been a long time since my last post. I hope everyone is well. I sprung a coolant leak between the block and the housing that the water pump mounts on. I guess 54 years was as far as the gasket was able to go. I've replaced the water pump once several years ago, but I've never had occasion to remove the housing. Before jumping in, I would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom or caution! Thanks!

B.
