TR4/4A Water pump and water pump housing bolts.....

Does anyone know offhand what size these bolts should be? I borrowed the water pump off the 4A to replace the broken 3a pump a few years back but I misplaced the bolts. I have a box full of spare bolts but am having no luck matching them up. I'm assuming fine thread and SAE. Don't think they are British thread. Hopefully I can get them locally. Worst case scenario I'll remove a bolt from the TR3 water pump and one from the housing to see what's needed.

All threads in cast iron or aluminium on a part for a TR have American Standard UNC (coarse) threads. Usually the other outer end of the stud has UNF (fine) threads which you have tried and they don't and won't thread into the block or water pump castings.

The water pump is held onto the block by two 3/8 x2 &1/4" course thread bolts. In addition there is the third bolt that goes through the water pump as well as the water pump housing and it is 3/8 x2 &1/2" course thread. This is the one that is under the pulley. Or as Randall has suggested one might change this one to a stud to eliminate having to mess with the bolt under the pulley.
