Unfortunately in my country we don't benefit from the same sunshine that some of you might find, for example, in Southern California or Italy.

As such, I'm never exactly sure, when I take my 100/6 for a /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif on the weekends, if it will rain at some stage or not /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

As you might have guessed by now, my left leg and my co-pilots right leg tend to get wet in the car when it's raining.(Yes, the top is mounted /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif )

It seems that the water comes in where the outer edges of the windscreenrail sit on the wings.

Any idea how to seal these corners off?
Someone mentioned filling the gaps with silicon but I'm not too keen about this (or would this work?).

On both my BJ8 and my BN1 I have solved this sort of problem in part by having my soft top's front-top windsheild seal extend about 1/2 cm past the left hand and right hand ends of the top. This helps "wick" away excess water from the area when you are driving.

I hope you understand what I am trying to describe. I should say the BJ8's top does not leak, at all, in even the harshest of tropical downpours.

It is a British Sports car, of course it leaks in the rain.

When I went for my drive - (or should that be swim??) around Southern Ireland a couple of years ago, we had the same problem and put it down to an excess of multiples holes! However when I got home and stripped the interior for a thorough drying out (*), I found that the two windscreen washer post nuts were only finger tight and most of the water was infact coming through past the rubber washer.

(*) Major dry needed out due to wading through a flood coming back through South Wales that was as deep as the door bottoms !!!! Not recommended practice for preserving a vehicle I'm told, but at least the chassis got a good wash.
