Great detective series set during WWII.

Have to say I am dying for a 40's vintage car also about now.

Foyle's War is my top favorite series on PBS now. Really interesting look at the British "home front" beginning in 1939, and extending into the late 1940s: rationing, sabotage, conscription, conscription avoidance, secret military programs, the beginning of the Cold War - wow. Kitchens has a great character - often using facial expressions and silence to do what many other actors do with words.

One episode dealt with upper class British who expected Germany to invade, and tried to ally themselves with the Reich beforehand.

double wow

1937 Wolseley 14/56 anyone?

Love the Wolseley! and many of the convertibles the pilots drive. Including a lovely MG TA?

I've only recently discovered the show, and starting to love it... Great cars, also excellent stories and acting as well... I've just been watching what PBS is broadcasting...

According to Internet Car Data Base, here's the MG-TA from the 2003-2004 Foyle's War series:

And the aircraft aren't too shabby either -
