When the Body of my 100/6 BN4 was restored, no one reinstalled a washer bottle with washer jets. :cryin:

Can somebody give me the exact location of where the washer jets should be placed before I drill too many holes into the body.

Also, has anybody installed an electronic washer kit and if so, where did you place the washer bottle?

You *should* be able to look at the underside of the shroud to see where the jet(s) used to be.

The earliest BN4 & BN6s used a single double-jet squirter, and the later cars used two (2) individual jets.

The package tray has a cutout (approx. 4" circle) for the reservoir. These would've been either a glass jar (rare, but supposedly about to be reproduced in France) or a more common Tudor plastic bottle. both used a similar bracket.

I mounted an electric pump under the cowl, and modified the original manual pump to function as a switch for the motor.

Randy - very interesting location of the washer pusher on your dash. Was that the original location? All the early BN4s that I have seen had the location further to the right side of the dash.

But great photos as usual!!!!

That dash panel came from a late 100/6 to early 3000 MKI, so it had a larger hole for the washer pump (I filled that with a generic__chrome__cigarette lighter). I *think* the hole I used (for the washerpump/switch) would've been for the choke pull (mine was originally mounted under the steering column); with Webers, I don't need a choke, just two (2) strokes of the gas pedal.

My original dash had too many apertures in it (gauges, toggle switches, etc.) so I replaced it with the closest one I could find (pretty sure it came out of BN6L 2250 parts car).

I really don't know, but ALL the information I that I do know about them, came from threads in this forum.

I'm sure that once they're ready, someone around here will post it up. While I still have my original, I want a repop because I'm paranoid about breaking it; I mean, come on, it's already a 53 year old glass jar...
