I'm having a hard time finding the paint I want in a NON metallic paint. Here's an example of the color I'm looking for. This is how my TF will be painted with the black fenders an all. Any clues? PJ

Is Jaguar "Regency Red" close enough?

Rick, Thanks for that. Yes it is close enough! I didn't want Burgundy, as it has brown in it, there appears to be no brown in the Jag Regency Red. That is very pretty! My car would be proud to display a Jag color. Thanks again, I know where to go! :encouragement: PJ

And FWIW, regency red sounds way better than cherry red.

JP, A fellow on another forum said his dad is re-doing a J-2 and is painting it Regency Red! He said he saw the color in the flesh on a T series car and in his words, he said it looked magnificent! So I'm good to go on color for the tub, thanks a bunch! PJ

Glad to hear it, Paul. Should look great on a TF with black fenders. For something different, I bet it would look good with some black wire wheels.

Here's some paint codes that might be helpful. Most paint jobbers will be able to cross reference their line if they have one of these to work with:

Dupont 8538LH

Ditzler 71791
Glasurit (BASF) JAG-302
RM 7408

Thanks Rick! I'll write them down. The more codes I have will make it easier for a shop to come up with the right color. PJ
