This is the sharpest one I've seen! Maybe you guys know of this car, it's a first look for me. Gorgeous, no other word for it!
The gentleman's name is Steve Finch and is said to be the original owner. Not many of them around any more.
Looks like he's kept it in a glass case for all these years.

That sure is a beautiful car.

Wow!That's what mine could look like-
with another $20,000 put into it.
Where's he located?What year's the GT?

- Doug

Man, that is nice! No rubber bumpers, so guessing it's late 60's or early 70's?

Steve lives in Michigan and his GT is a 1974 - the last year of chrome bumpered MGBs. (The last of the GTs exported to the North America was the rubber bumpered 1974-1/2 model....the GT was produced for the home market through the end of production in 1980).

A really beautiful example. Go out and try to find a car more beautiful today for a decent price. Can't do it.

Really nice. :yesnod:

'74... where's th' side markers? Grill's been retrofitted too.

I ain't dingin' that car at all, just sayin' it's not "original".

It's beautiful.

You're right Doc.I kept thinking that something
didn't look right.Probably a restoration.
Still really nice car (& I was feeling pretty
good about mine, until I saw that).

- Doug

Looks a bit "darker" than Primrose but digital images can't go to Pantone numbers.

It is nice, but a 74 should also have rubber on the overriders...or big "Sabrina" ones. I was thinking '72 maybe?

Bruce

I still have the Sabrinas that came with my '74 GT. I use them as a substitute for free weights - they're great for keeping the biceps "wrench ready."

Nice!

But yeah, even ~my '69~ had the side markers.

I see he's swapped to the eared spinners (I did too).

Nial, that's the prettiest little side marker I've ever seen!

Tidy! To bad he did not switch out the marker/turn lenses? The distance from the grill edge to the marker/turn lamp will also help identify the year.
Cheers,
D.

I found out a little more about the car.
Doc,that's Citron Yellow - not Primrose.

I pulled the information off of Steve's data sheet on the MG Experience.

As said before: I ain't dingin' it. I think it's gorgeous. An MGB to be proud of.
