Walter Mitty Challenge

We went for the first time last year with two G4s. The guys really enjoyed the track, but they felt the event was a bit too over-entered to enjoy racing. There were also quite a few incidents, which was hopefully above average for the event. Like all big events, however, there was a lot of cool stuff to look at. We're looking at perhaps attending the smaller HSR event in September this year so the guys can get some seat time.

Road Atlanta is a great track. Wish you could have seen it when they still had "The Dip" before they filled it in and put in the turn 10 chicane. That took a lot of the flow out of the track IMO, and may lead to some of the incidents you mention.

If anybody else from the forum is going, maybe we could set up a meet-up or something.

Alfred,
I had the Mitty on my list for this year, just for fun, plus I expected to get to work a display for the Porsche Sport Driving School. None of those plans worked as expected, so, I'll be at the Indy Car race in Birmingham instead. Suggest that you go to the camping area at Turn 5 and introduce yourself to some of the TR6 folks from the 6Pack Forum. They are a great bunch of folks who experiment yearly at the Mitty in cooking mystery sausages from around the US.
Since I can't be there, I'll send a friend to take care of you all.
Have fun!
