What happened to The Vintage Triumph Register web site??

For the last few days, I haven't been able to get on. Is it my computer?? Have they changed the site address?? Or did it go off the air for maintenance or something?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif
 
Not sure what happened. I can't reach them, either. I remember a month or so back, they were "under construction" - but hadn't checked in with them in since then.

Been checking for 2 days with no luck, must be powered by lucas and somebody forgot the ground. Wayne
 
About 50% of the time that I try to access that site it's down. I think somebody just turns the server off randomly for kicks.... or it's hosted by a university /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It was there a few days ago -- will probably be back soon. This seems to happen every few months. As I recall this is a volunteer-supported effort so all we can do is be patient and check back from time to time.

It is undergoing some work after the previous web maintainers resigned, so new web maintainers are working to get the site back up 100%. I will imagine it will take quite a while to work out the problems after the site was hacked and crashed a few times.

Give them some time, it is all volunteer work.
 
Glenn, thanks for the info as we all visit the site and really miss it. I thought that's where I had read about the coil hookup, but at my age I was lucky to remember I forgot. HaHa, Wayne
