VTR convention and fires

No, at least not yet. The fires are still confined to Angeles National Forest (if confined is the right word); while VTR/Triumphest is located over 200 miles away.

But there is more forested area (Los Padres National Forest) near SLO, so anything is possible.

The weather has cooled off a little, though and is supposed to cool even more in a few days (maybe even some rain) so I expect they will have the fires contained soon; without coming anywhere near SLO.
 
Not sure if this will work, but hopefully here is a map of the fires as of today. If you look, you should be able to find the SLO legend near the scroll bar in the upper LH corner.

That "should" all be history in three weeks - fingers crossed and touch the wood dash!
