Finally got around to the test drive tonight... Took long enough /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif It drove nice and the gearbox seemed to work quite well
Beyond the rust issues, the muffler seems to be rough and might need replacing, otherwise...
Planning on getting it checked it out more thoroughly at a mechanic ASAP to see how sound mechanically it is, and probably run a compression test as well.
And I'm thinking that it's likely worth less than the $1K (considering the muffler), but seems like it could be a fabulous "beater" car, however I won't get too excited until I know more and investigate further.
