TR2/3/3A Voltmeter install?

I have installed an alternator in the TR3 using the British wiring kit. I came across a voltmeter in a parts bin that looks like it would fit in the dash where the Ammeter is. If I decide to go with the Voltmeter what's the best way to wire it up in terms of what wire goes where? What about the two wires on back of the ammeter?
If I decide to keep the Ammeter and install the voltmeter under below the dash where would the wiring go then?

If you remove the ammeter, you'll need to securely fasten the two wires together, as they carry pretty much all the power for the car. Or, since you aren't using the original control box, you could just move the brown wire over to the headlight switch in place of the original brown/blue wire; then leave the original brown/blue and brown/white wires disconnected at both ends.

The voltmeter will need a good ground, and to be connected into the white circuit somehow. The back of the starter button might be a good place, if you don't already have other wires there.
