... and have been re-reading a lot ("Guns of August" etc.). This is a favorite time of history for me (actually 1890 to 1920). Lots of commenmorations this year; there even was a lot of preparation going on in Verdun when we were there in 2012.

Anyway, I came upon this HILARIOUS (and really rather clever) depiction of WWI as a bar-fight! If only more high-school teachers used such analogies!!!
