I had some old pictures of the race & the
accident of Pete Snell, who's death was responsible
for the startup of the Foundation.
They have a few old pictures on the wall of
Snell's TR3,& Dr.George Snively's Healey (he was the
person who actually started it.They also have Snell's
helmet on display.
I also got a tour of the facility & was shown all
of the testing equipment & type of tests that they do.
For those of youy who aren't aware of this,if you
wear a helmet for racing, you usually need to have one
with a "Snell sticker" visible inside of it.

My branebucket is so old now they wouldn't let me even autocross with it. On a skateboard.
Surprised th' Snell police haven't knocked on my door an' haul'd my sorry butt off for some "safety counseling". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Is it old enough to swap for a new one yet. LOL

I think I'm in the "cusp" between useful and collectable. Worth about $2 on E-bay. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

I called them up a few years ago because we were re-writing our helmet requirements for the club (to S2000 specs) and I had a few questions.
The gal I spoke to on the phone was very helpful.

I'd be guffaw'd off th' phone.

Welcome home, Nial.
