Does anyone know where I might look to find a piece of vintage luggage to fit on the luggage rack of my TR4A? I have been all over the internet.......and yes E-bay.... today in my search. I have talked to a great guy that could make me a beautiful reproduction but it would take 3 months and the cost would cause my husband to have a heart attack!

I have 2 car shows coming up and am tired of the picnic basket look so thought the luggage with the straps would be a nice change.

Cheers and thanks,
Irene

Salvation Army or thrift shops may have 50 year old luggage at very low prices.

Or Goodwill. Yard sales.
I have an old Peterson book on engine swaps, guy put a 455 Olds in the back of (probably) a 912 Porsche. Bought a bunch of that stuff from Goodwill, cut the bottoms and backs out, bolted them together on the inside, lined with insulation....it filled the back seat area and was a gen-you-whine 455 Olds engine cover!

I've found quite a few at antique shops, usually pretty cheap. So far haven't had any luck looking for the vintage stuff at Goodwill & Salvation Army.

I have never used them for show but they get plenty of use on roadtrips.
