I love these old car ads, especially racing-oriented ones. This one is keen because it shows the Tullius TR and Bondurant's Cobra:

Boy, did THAT ever rocket me back to "The Day."

Neat!

Not to mention Frank Dominianni's Corvette. Frank, John Caley, Dick Thompson and a few others did a wonderful job with the old, solid axle Vettes here in the Northeast. [I know, elsewhere too, but I only saw them here.]

Bob Tullius later moved to Florida I think, and pursued his interest in WW2 vinatge warbirds.

Here's a marginal shot of Caley in turn 11 (the hairpin) at Thompson (CT) followed by a SWB 250GT (Bob Grossman? Memory fails me).

I often wish I'd recorded these years on tape. I can still hear (& feel) the Corvettes storming out of this corner - the ground shook, really - and the Ferrari's wailing, all gear noise and Weber breath, and the smell of Castrol R and burning Bluestreaks. It just ain't the same these days.
