VIN number locations

Where all are VIN numbers located on a 68 spit? I know the one on the dash, and the engine block number, but where else would they be?

Old Triumphs (pre-1979) don't have VIN Numbers, they have Commission Numbers. The Commission Number should be stamped on a plate or tag riveted to the lefthand side of the cowl/bulkhead when you lift the bonnet out of the way. A '68 Spit should have a Commission Number like FD#####

Did you check on the drivers side door latch striker plate area? On the TR6 they have an information plate there.
