Video conversion

Someone sent me a video that was made using MS movie maker. They have Vista OS. I have MS XP, and I can't see it. Any way to convert it?

If the video was completed by Movie Maker then it should be in WMV format. That will play using Windows Media Player (XP or Vista versions).

Just having the mac won't do it. Most probably you need the latest codec (the one the movie was made with)
To find out what codecs you have, and which one the movie needs, use GSpot video appliance. Then you have to find the codec.
