Victoria British seat recover kits- anyone try them?

TR in me

Hiya,

Has anyone bought the vinyl seat re-upholstery kits from VB?

What about the foam kits? Are the foam kits from one manufacturer different than for another? I know that foam qualities, densities, and compositions vary greatly, not to mention composite assembly techniques (heat forming, gluing, etc) but that's about the extent of my knowledge!

VB has a sale now with good prices, but I've never bought anything from VB, so I'm looking for others' experience.

TR250 Seat foam kit, vinyl cover kit with white piping, webbing for 2 seats, and 2 diaphragms:
VB $707
TRF $884
Moss $1042 (but also includes "clips")

Thanks
(Past my budget for this century already, so I guess I'll be sleeping in my TR during old age)

I did a Healey with a complete VB ( leather) kit years ago. I've done several with moss kits since then and I would say they were equivalent.

Bought these complete Suffolk leather seats from Vic Brit back in 2005 for the wifes 72 and they are quality. Not sure of the cover kits though. PJ

I would also check AH Spares. I bought seat covers, etc. from them about a year ago for my sprite and they were the cheapest shipped for everything (seat covers, padding, foam, clips, extra vinyl).

At at the time, the rumor was that AH, moss, and VB all got their stuff from the same supplier.
