vettes and porsches, porsches and vettes

had to drive out just over an hour this a.m. to get to a church - everywhere I turned, there were vettes of various vintages and porsches galore. This is not a disparaging word, but, I must say if I had the budget for either I might find something a little more unique.
 
Pretty sure this probably comes under "it takes all kinds". I attended "Corvettes at Carlisle" yesterday - more than 3,000 Corvettes were on the fairgrounds (highlighted by the beautifully restored 1960 Corvette #3 driven to its class win in the 1960 24 hours of LeMans) - had a wonderful time.
Here's what I took, and honestly it's as much a blast as the Triumphs - just different:

:blush: and quick to add none of the vettes I saw looked like that. That is gorgeous, the ones I saw were mostly off the lot as were the porsches. There is 2 928's that come to one of the local cruise nights. very cool because they are different. (I guess that is really what I trying to say - I like unique cars)
