Had some business at the main building there, took the camera and wandered around after that.

Hard to get a good shot into the sun, secondary flare is objectionable. These were with the 18~140mm zoom, may give a similar shot a try with a prime wide-angle on Friday.

And a pure grab shot just looked at. A cute vignette, whole frame, no post-processing.

I think the flair in the second shot adds some character to the image. Looks like artist license.

I say "Don't fear the flare" I have them in shots occasionally.

I'm looking for ways to use it, control it. This AM in the back yard. Used the 35mm prime, not so impressive IMO.

I'll crank down the aperture and let the ISO "float" next. Want to be able to duplicate desired results for sunrise/sunset predictably.

∱16 with the 50mm prime and no internal flare to speak of. Just that small bit at lower frame. πŸ‘

Yup. Fewer elements, less barrel length. Reduces the chance for light to "ricochet" around thru the thing.
