vent window seal replacement

Offline
i got tired of moving the new rubber vent window seals from place to place to keep from buggering them up in my shop,so i bit the bullet and desided to replace the old ones, first found its a good idea to remove the entire window assm,as not to scratch up the windshield post, i was lucky to encounter outside hinge set screws that were not chewed up but i soaked them with penetrating oil anyway, removing the nut, washer and spring from the pivot shaft underneath the frame was also simple, the part that i found might couse some problem/missuderstanding, is the way they designed the bushing afixed to the bottom side pivot shaft, see attchm.more liberal soaking with pen.oil and judicious prying revealed its secret, someone once told me to just cut/slit the new seal so youd be able to just slide it around the post when repositioning the new seal,i just didnt like that idea,i hope this can be of help to anyone considering doing this project. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
