Loti friends, I am looking for a rebuild kit for my Vauxhall Viva GT Master Cylinder. Turns out it was also used on the

Lotus EUROPA Special S3 (USA Market only) (1972-ON)

Lotus Elan & 2S 130 (USA market only) (From Chassis No 0275 N.) (1972-ON)

Lotus Elan & 2S & 2S 130 (USA market only) (1968-1972)

It is a Girling SP 2485 kit. Any suggestions as to where I might look?

thanks all
JP

In my spares box... maybe. I'll check. Yup, but no tellin' how old!.

Seems there are variants, SP-2485/1 and SP-2485/2, this box has my scribbling saying it's for my dual M/C +2 Elan. Look for Spitfire post-68 or possibly GT-6 dual master kits.

Here's the contents:

Red hairline outline is what's in the small bag.

that's it! Looks like all I can find is NOS - any interest in parting with it doc? If so, PM me with details.

amazing!

Not sure I'd trust it, JP. But Dave Bean lists it, second& third line: # 050J 2485. Worth a call.

Ask if Tom Smith is still there. You can tell him you know one of the Founding Fathers of "The Western Pennsylvania Lotus Mafia".

thanks - will take a look. (and thanks for the email)

Just sent images from the Lotus parts book, too. Good illustration of the innards and how they fit. Hope it's not redundant.

One confusion is the different sizes stated in the two catalogs; Lotus has the diameter listed as 0.70." and Bean's says 0.875". Not sure it'd make a difference, but strange.
