Vauxhall for sale

Not at that money though... That's way too much to be asking...

The Practical Classic Magazine (UK) price guide shows ÂŁ4000 for one in an excellent condition. That's $6-7000 at current exchange rates, so they're asking too much....

But, I wonder whether prices for such non-exotic cars should reflect thier greater scarcity in North America (=higher prices), or the greater difficulty of obtaining parts and maintaining and servicing(= lower price).

Or, if people pay no attention to what international prices are, and just try to get (or only pay) what they can...

I find a lot of that vintage of restored sedans have a similar price tag - i.e. about $9k. I suspect it reflects the costs of restoration. I also suspect that they were restored without really thinking about their resale value. (Much as I did - as I have no plans to sell - BUT a ragtop is more desireable generally)

I also find that Canadians tend to want silly money for their cars. recently emailed about a "ran when parked" (10 years ago) A40. Guy still wanted 4k for it.
