Valve job

Depends somewhat on what engine you are talking about, and what else needs to be done. Generally, though certainly not always, if the valves are shot then the guides and seats will also need attention. Not extremely difficult, but there are a lot of special techniques and tools involved (especially if the seats need to be replaced).

Probably best to remove the head and take it to a machine shop to have the actual work done.
