valve cover

Can't speak to neoprene as I have never made a gasket from it but cork is dead easy to work with, available at any FLAP and seals just fine. Make a spare while you're sitting there at the kitchen table to have it on hand if you rip the gasket when you do a valve adjustment 10K miles from now.

Save the center section you cut out to make all the little cork gaskets you might need -- fuel pump bowl, fuel tank sending unit, etc.
