It reminds me of an MGC valve cover.
It came with a project car. I am pretty sure it was on the engine, although I have the original valve cover also. The person that owned the car stopped working on it and driving it more than 10 years ago. I found a discussion that points to a RUDDSPEED. ??

It looks just like my valve cover. Mine was on the car when i bought it 20+ years ago. I bought it from Bruce Phillips at Healey Surgeons. It was his personal car and was rather modified for rallying. I'm pretty sure it is not a factory original item yet was a period accessory.

The C series engine fitted to the AH3000 was used in other vehicles, including the Vanden Plus 3 liter.

This__identical looking__valve cover was purchased from Moss Motors around 1984-85, if my memory serves correctly. I bought it along with a set of connecting rods, and they were bouncing around inside the box, fortunately only marring up the rear of the cover.
