Since completing my 6 I've always set/checked the valve clearance every year. Last year I decided to not do it. Today I pulled the valve cover and checked the clearance and found only two valves that needed slight attention. That's two years since setting them and very little change.
How often should it be done? How often do you check the valve clearance?

Thanks Andy. I probably put 1,500 - 2,000 miles a season.

I usually do mine at least once a driving season as part of my Spring checks before putting it back on the road.

Cheers

Yeah, once a season is about it for me too - while the spark plugs are out for inspection it is quick to also check the timing & points and adjust valves. FWIW I usually set the exhaust side a bit loose (an extra .002) just because those are the ones you really don't want too tight.
