I've been driving by this MG for about a month or so and I was hoping it would disappear while I was on vacation back in CA. Its still there so I took a look. The body looks strait but it's in recently sprayed primer. There is some light surface rust on the hood and the seam on the upper fenders. The does appear to be a bondo repair on the rear panel under the trunk lid that's cracked and has rust weeping from it. It does have wire wheels and the interior is ok and 77k miles on the odo. What would be a fair price to offer assuming it runs?

Also what area's on the gt's to I want to look for in depth for rust.

Thanks in advance

Check th e GT as the B tourer for rust, floors and rockers, trunk I have both MGs. They are the same, except for the roof and resale. I find the GT the most attractive B and it is nice year round and on long trips but most sell for about 30% less thatn a comparable tourer. If you like GTs , pay good money for a good one and less for a lesser car. If it has rust, check rockers under the cara nd pull rugs, the car is worth 1,000., if it runs well and is in otherwise good shape. If it need any thing more, afew hundred. I got mine really cheap and invested alot, because I love the car. I will never get my money back. But, I have a GT that will be better than new and still less than a decent used car.
