Value of a 2001 Jag S-Type

Offline
I usually stay on the Triumph forum but I need a little Jag help:

What is a 2001 Jaguar S-Type Worth?
-4.0 Liter
-Under 40k miles
-Serviced at the dealer
-Near Perfect condition
-Garage kept of course
-Single Owner (A Relative)

KBB puts it in the following:
Private Party, Excelent Condition- $9k
Retail Sale, Excelent Condition- $10.8k

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dave B

Hi Dave,

I would have put it at around $7,500 to $8,000 but knowing the history always helps to bump the value up somewhat. Between seventy-five hundred on the low end, perhaps, to nine thou on the high end, you should be okay. KBB tends to be somewhat optimistic, I feel.

Thanks, that helps. Trying to decide, the car is gorgeous. Black with grey interior, if I remember correctly and my wife absolutely loves it. And I have to admit, it is a really classy car. Just trying to determine a fair price.

Thanks,

Dave B

I really like the look of the car it just keeps coming back to the price. Someone recommended that the "can't pass up" price for this car might be closer to the trade in price which would be closer to $7500 as recommended earlier.
