GT6 vacuum setup on 1970 gt6+

On my gt6 I have the delco double acting vacuum mechanism. It does not have a vacuum valve on the throttle linkage. The only place I can see on the rear carb to hook the vacuum line is on a tube that comes out from the bottom of the carb just back from the flange where it hooks on to the manifiold. Is this correct for the retard pipe?
