My son is attending VMI and my daughter has decided to look at two colleges located there but I know little of either and find very little on line, so I was hoping for some opinions

First is Shenandoah University and the other is Roanoke College. Both have the Major she is interested in but really pretty clueless after that. Looked at all the common college review site but not much is listed there

Both are very small schools. Roanoke College has been in existence for a long time, probably late 1800s. I'm not familiar with Shenadoah, but it's also very small. Neither are top-notch academically.

For the same or less cost, she should look at larger schools that have greater alumni influence and market presence. How about VA Tech; Radford; James Madison U.; VCU, or ODU? Or, if she's got really good grades, UVA; William & Mary, or Washington & Lee U. (also in Lexington)?

Why Shenandoah U.: is she a music major?
