Well Drew's engine is Utah bound!!!!! I make a rigid mount for the engine that hold them rigidly upright, and bolts to the pallet, then cocoon them in shipping palstic wrap.
Wow! Drew, you're one lucky guy having that beautiful piece of machinery heading your way. I wish Hap was closer by. I'm know I could learn a lot about building a proper engine from him.
Actually, Ray, this is already paid for from a really good winter gig season. My present to myself for the extra work. My wife's not off the hook yet...
Drew, I'm worried about that engine being left outside if no one is home when the FedEx guy gets there. I'll tell you what, I'll come out and make sure it gets received OK. What is your address and the tracking number?
You got me on that one Trevor, might as well be talking Chinese to me I normally ship terminal to terminal, because most folks have a terminal close enough to go pick up, and a city truck with a drop gate can easily add a $100+ to a shipment. Fed Ex gave me the best prices on frieght, I mostly use UPS for my small package shipping.
UPS has a deal where you can reroute a package while it is in transit if you need it to go to a different destination than originally planned. I was thinking Drew might want to route the shipment to me to let me break it in while he gets the rest of the TuneBug together.
To late for a reroute, I just got a call that I have a pallet waiting for me down in SLC. I'll be hooking up my trailer after work and heading down. Now that's fast shipping!
