What amazes me is there's somebody who took the time to write an article on stop signs!

Wikipedia is filled with useless info. The sad part is that I took the time to look it up. I need to get me ar$e in gear and get a fixin.

The British would not have known about the US "Stop" signs. The first MG cars appeared in 1923, the octagonal stop sign in Michigan, in 1922 according to the webpage. The first octagonal badge appeared on the cars in 1924.

Now you've got me at it!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
