Upgraded Motor Mounts

We had MiniMania build one of their 1380 cc engines for our '60 Bugeye. They claim, with their 10 to 1 compression, aluminum head, custom cam and 1.5 ratio rockers, that the engines will pull 120 hp. Whilst they don't dyno their engines, I do suspect it will be quite a bit more than stock. So, question - are there any good alternatives to the standard front motor mounts? Would the mounts for a 1500 fit?

Haven't heard that there are anything but stock motormounts - can say with almost 100% certainty that 1500 mounts won't fit as it is a completely different engine

The reason I thought there might be a chance was because it looks like the 1500 mounts use the same bolt pattern - at least from the pictures on Moss's site.

and half will be - the part what attaches to the subframe that changed at the front for the 1500 but not the sides. So you can swap a 1275 into a 1500 but not (easily) a 1500 into a 1275.

Maybe give Hap Waldrop a call > Home - My website < if anyone would know it's him.

meh. Use stock motor mounts.
