Update-Winner's Circle Rear Springs

I had posted a few weeks ago on a thread on the left sagging rear springs many of us have experienced due to the crappy springs the big suppliers have been importing.
I finally got the install done last week using the "Made in England" rear springs I purchased from Winner's Circle.
I have driven about 50 miles since.
The car looks a lot more level that with the previous springs from Vic Brit-BUT-I measured from ground to the lip of the rear arch on both side and the left is 19 3/8 and right is 19 3/4 so there is already some difference.
Will this increase??I will keep track but for now using the delrin rear bushes on the shackles as the supplier suggested does seem to give a more solid feel when cornering. I would recommend this to anyone over urethane.

Re: Update-Winner's Circle Rear Springs

I would agree with Tom on this (through personal experience!) Check the body clearance heigths at the front the way you did at the rear and see if there is a "diagonal" bias in the results!!

Re: Update-Winner's Circle Rear Springs

I did rebuild the entire front end 2 years ago but I did not swap the front springs side to side and I didn't measure before the new rear springs so I can't say whether that might be it. The car was visibly leaning down on the left before.

Little Blue will be at Sussex barring torrential rain.

My big issue with this car since I got it in 2002 with 14K on the odometer was that it kept eating wheel bearings. The car was owned by a doctor in Greensburg, PA and he taught his sons to drive with it. They had driven it over a curb at some point and had cocked the right spindle just enough that it put high strain on any bearings. Once I put new A arms and kingpins along with the spindles the problems are gone.

I spent 20 years in Pittsburgh and made most of the PVGP events so I have lots of posters. Anyone in the LBC world who has never been there should do it at least once. British Car Day with the racers ripping practice laps down below the show field is an experience. They will get 6-800 cars up on the golf course for the shows on Saturday. Sunday is 6 classes of vintage cars running on city streets. A flash from the past for sure.
