MGB Up date. Where to begin?

I fine so many things on Bee that are just not up to my standards.
Like almost everything. I can fix it all but going to be a job like adjusting doors and bonnet and trunk to fit properly. Gish, dislike that job for sure. Ordered a new carb. to resolve my fuel and choke problems will b next monday but I did get a NOS one. Is a Rochester Varajet II. All is so dirty has been sitting in a shop for a few years' Found a bit of paper work in car seems engine V6 was installed 2014 Came out of a Jeep or Pickup and lived in eastern NC. Should pull about 120 HP original engine was 92. Bee lived in eastern NC.

Sounds like you've plenty to keep you busy for a while! Once you have it all dialed in, I know you're going to enjoy it.

I may have mentioned earlier, but the British V8/V6 bunch usually gathers here in Townsend the first weekend of October - you'd really like meeting our bunch of misfits, and checking out some of their creations. Really sorry to hear that Jack, you would think that after all the changes you specified + purchase price that they might actually have washed it before they delivered it - not the kind of introduction you wanted.

Can I suggest a couple of things.

1. get the car detailed - you will like it more if it is clean.

2. You don't need a British Car Mechanic for engine work - so find a local person who can sort out the choke/ engine.

post some pics, we'd still like to see it.

Yep that's the plan JP. New carb on the way then next stop detailer. Mean while I been doing little things like fixing fuel gauge . Rebuilding license bracket and lights. For today I am going to fit the trunk.

I warned you about that guy. His reputation is terrible. Hardly ever does what he promises. At least you've got a running car. Check it over very carefully, inside, outside and underneath. FWIW, you can add your list of complaints to the parade of his dissatisfied customers. At least you know how to work on the car, unlike many of his poor customers. When its done, you'll have something special.

Rather than a bad guy he seems to just be a guy who should not be in the kind of position that he is in, i,e, Management and customer satisfaction.
