Wandering around the web, I stumbled onto this web site that has amazingly comprehensive details on any number of MGB issues. Perhaps you're all aware of it, but perhaps not.

I found it while looking for instructions on making an E-clip installation tool for the wheel cylinders. He has a great method of making one from scrap. I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising.

Yep, been around for a long time....he links the reader to the MG Site Ring of which my website is a member.
 
It would be nice if links like that were kept in a central location on this forum. Perhaps under "links" on the left hand side or stickied in a post at the top of the MG forum for DIY stuff. I belong to a BMW convertible forum that has a "convertibles 101" thread stickied at the top which is incredibly useful...a one stop shop for the primary questions.

Ah! You know what, I looked at the links and I thought that "MG" was a subheading under "British Parts & Service" so I didn't think this fit. My error. I just submitted the link.
