When I purchased my 1965 Sprite it came with a truck load of spare parts. I've been sorting through the parts and they are mostly Mark III with some 1959 Bugeye parts. However I cannot identify the part in the photo. It appears to be part of a tonneau cover or top as it has black fabric attached. I can't find a similar part in the Moss catalog. Any guesses?

Best guess..... Header for convertible top.

Can't tell much from the photo but it looks like it might be the header for the hood (top), the piece that attaches to the top of the windscreen.

It is but I wonder if it is for a later car - do you have the folding frame or the one that is permanently attached? It is what the front of the top glues to and indeed, it attaches to the top of the windshield with two clips - which would have I suspect been attached to the two pairs of rivets
