TR2/3/3A Unknown Part TR3? Heater Bracket?

This part showed up in my heater parts storage box. I'm sure that I gathered it up somewhere along the way. However I haven't seen it in any of my reference material or the pics kindly sent along by fellow members of the BCF.
Any ideas on what it might go to would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, tinkerman

It's the bracket on which the accessory ashtray slides under the dash. It attaches under the dash support/heater bracket on the passenger side of the dash. If you have the ash tray, it's worth some bucks on eBay. They seem to regularly fetch around $100.

Wow, thanks guys! I don't have the ashtray and I'm sure not going to buy one, but I appreciated knowing what it is.

Well, this brings back memories. I have never USED a TR3 ashtray. But I can tell you that a Camel straight lasts about forty-five seconds at seventy MPH, and if you are foolish enough to try to hit an astray with it, you'll leave a comet trail of burning leaf.

Perry, that made me laugh. :iagree: I drove a 4A at college and smoked Chesterfields. You had to be careful smoking with the top down and there was 'evidence' by way of burns in the rear bulkhead cover and carpeting!
