There's been a lot of discussion about this on several forums.

Even at Carlisle back in May, John mentioned the business "has been on life support" for the last couple years, so I guess it wasn't a total surprise.

I wonder if the business closed due to a combination of the slow economy and John's deciding to end his 34 year "simply wonderful run". Sad. Wish there were a way to move the company to a state with a stronger economy.
