university motors closing [john twist]

Yes. There are several threads on the Forum about this.

John's a great guy and he will continue to make training videos (with a plan on selling them in DVD form). Go to Youtube and search for him....he already has lots of videos.
He'll also work as a paid presentor at seminars and may even do some work. But his wife is sick and he has other issues than prevent him from keeping a full time business going.

He is not selling his tools....just much of the neat MG, BMC, etc memorabilia.

I've never even spoken to the guy, but I can tell he's one of those people that's never had a bad thing said about him.

I've learned a huge amount from his videos. I would love it if he finds the time to make more..... I'm happy to pay for them.

When I was a college student in about 89 I bought a '75 Midget. John's shop was a couple blocks from my college house (and NOT in the best part of town). He was nice to me then, even though I didn't have a dime to spend. When I got my current one I stopped by his shop (since moved to a suburb) after the gearbox went south, he spent several minutes showing me how they work and telling me what might be wrong. Yep, he's one of the good guys. Their shop was always full of the coolest cars; As and Midgets, B.s Big Healeys, Triumphs....
