Ummm.....

Uhhh....thats really fugly.

He has it listed as a 4 cylinder? Must be confused, or they transplanted another motor? If the base car was a TR6 why would you rip out a nice straight 6 to transplant in a 4?

With something as bizarre as that, you'd think there would be a few more pictures so you could see what that car?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/pukeface.gif is all about.

[/ QUOTE ]The listing states "VIN# FDU33046"; that means that, assuming that wasn't just a stray title floating around, the car was based NOT on a TR6 but on a Mk3 Spitfire, circa 1969 model year. Not that this little fact helps the aesthetics of the car any, but.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Someone PLEASE buy it and bury it just to put it it out of it's own misery and embarrassment. You may also wish to maim the creator of this mess when you pick it up

It'd be great if you had a job going to parties and making balloon animals, but I'd be a little scared for my life to show up at a british car show in it.

i thought the purpose of a kit car was to make a less desirable car into a better looking sports car, like the fiero into a ferrari. looks like they got it the wrong way around here.

I hope a beautiful babe comes with the car otherwise forget it. That thing looks like it was hit with a really big UGLY stick

[/ QUOTE ]To give benefit of the doubt to the seller (goodness knows he/she needs SOMETHING to own such a car), the Kentucky Atlas and Gazetteer notes: "Leitchfield, the seat of Grayson county, is located near the center of the county on US 62 just north of the Western Kentucky Parkway. The town was established in 1810 on land donated by the widow of David Leitch and named for him." So at least THAT much of the auction listing is real. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice catch Andy, I didn't even think to check the VIN.

Agreed, the poor thing should be shot, burned, and buried so as to put it out of it's misery.

Re: Ummm.....Don't be fooled!

Uh... Maybe he'll trade for a nice set of teeth.
Just kidding. Couldn't help myself. As usual.

Re: Ummm.....Don't be fooled!

Being a bit of a numbers freak, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the commission number FDU33046, as my long-gone Mk3 was FDU44306L (the "L" seems to have disappeared from the clown car...unless it actually is RH steering).

Has anyone been masochistic enough to e-mail and ask for more photos????? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm perverse enough to wonder what the engine compartment looks like on this... oddity.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
