very cool but how do you clean it?
 
The demo video makes it look a lot more practical than it is. As a waterproofer, it's only as good as the substrate it's applied to. If the substrate moves or cracks, the water proofing is compromised because the coating doesn't self-heal. It's also not tolerant of abrasion so putting it on a pair of work boots would work only until the leather started to get scuffed and the coating was breached. And the company that markets it actually warns against applying it to boats because the drag supplied by the water keeps the boat stable; remove the drag and the stability ot provides goes away too. It might make a good rustproofer for metals not subjected to wide temperature extremes but right now it's a technology in search of applications.
