If I purchase parts from the UK what is the best method to ship to Canada. From the US to Canada you must use US post otherwise the brokerage fees are huge. Any Canadians out there that have first hand experience
Phil

Go with mail if you can wait for the parts.I get stuff from all over the world no problems.

Mark

Hi Mark,

same as US I guess?
Thanks Phil

Yes I just got some parts from Argentina and the Netherlands no problems. What are you looking for Phil?

Lots of good sources on this side of the pond.

Mark

not sure yet just waiting for the machine shop report(see it's Out thread). I will be probably be building a 1275 engine. It will be bored to 1380cc so lots of performance stuff, pistons cam rockers etc, all the cheap stuff.
Phil

Mark, if you have a good source for eng perf. parts please post, or email, I have been looking everywhere.
thanks Phil

What I ship internationally (Canada, UK, Puerto Rico, Japan, etc.), I always ship via US Post...what little I get from the UK, I have shipped in air freight to the local international airport.

anywhre is ok, to date I have only used Canada and US but England has so many supliers.
Phil

thanks Jeff always nice to have a reference before ordering

Hi JP,
thanks I use Fred, he is very close to my house. I have some floor mats on backorder. Just looking around at options, Moss and VB are good but like to see what other parts are out there. I am glad Fred does not have a large show room, if he did I would in trouble with the Mrs.

I highly recommend Mini Spares, they are the big boys, and almost all A-series part distrubution comes through them in oen way or another, but with the pound near 2 to 1 over the dollar and post 9/11 shipping charges, they amount you can save from ordering from the UK is greatly less than it used o be, only large orders make sense. Also you need to be careful of what you order, I've saw folks pay big money for stuff like Cometic head gakets and ARP fastners that were made in the US to start with, remember there are about as many performance parts for A-series made here as in the UK, since we race them in greater numbers and higher performance levels than them.
