Ugly wheels for the wrong season

Where I live (Norway) you need studded tyres to move the car during winter.
I will need to move it now and then, and I've bought the winter tyres but need the wheels.
Even though I prefer some proper wheels I've learned that TR-owners are quite reluctant when it comes to parting with such, even when they have spare sets.
I need to find a solution fast, since my "new" TR6 arrives next week, fitted with Bambi-rubber for a totally different season. I am therefore not particurlarly picky, and the question is:

Do any of you know which "regular" wheels I can put on the TR6? With regular I mean wheels which are produced in greater numbers and more easily aquired. In other words, examples of other cars which are fitted with wheels "compatible" to the TR6.

Hello Anders - I think they are 5.5J x 15.

Once you have the size and spacing you should be able to search for matching rims.

You can usually pick up a set of steel TR wheels fairly easily from someone who has converted their car to wires. Wheels from an earlier TR will fit, if you just need to move the car.

TR6 bolt circle is 4 on 4.5". But in addition to correct circle and spacing, the wheels also need to clear the brake calipes and suspension, which can be a problem.

Here's a list I have saved for other cars with the same bolt circle. I make no claims that it is accurate or complete; and it does not consider wheel size or offset. It's also rather out of date. But it might be helpful as a starting point.

Anders, what size are your winter tires? You might find a set of TR3 or TR4 wheels. 4.5" wide, but they should fit your car just fine. Also, if your winter tires are more like 165R15 size, they'd be just about a perfect fit on older TR rims. Besides, it's usually considered better to have narrower tires and wheels for winter, isn't it?

Very useful, indeed. I'll get on the phone to the recycling guys.

My winter tyres are 185/65/15, so I need the 15" size.

Being such a small country, there are few TRs here, and even fewer like to sell their extra set if they have one. But when Saabs, Nissans and Toyotas are involved, they sure increase the chances of finding something workable.

I'll keep you posted, even post pictures when I'm there

Honda Accord, here in the US, four bolt pattern up through the mid 90's for sure, maybe later but know the Accord(and the Integra four bolters) work.

Note that it shows Accords before 1990 did not have 4x4.5.

...but I'd certainly want to try test-fitting an Accord -- or any other front wheel drive car -- wheel before committing to purchase, given the "high" positive offset that could cause interference with brakes, suspension or bodywork!

I agree, Andy, especially since the stock TR6 wheels have some negative offset to help clear. But Ron seems to think they will fit ...
