I am in Dallas looking for a new place to live (I'm relocating from Denver for my new job) and I decided to peruse Craigslist and found this: https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/ctd/3631143610.html

I nominate this for the "what *not* to do to a Bugeye" award.

Pimp my bugeye?

While I agree it is hideous and a crying shame, if you squint a little it has a certain "baja bug" vibe.

It is definitely what not to do to a BE, but he or she sure put a lot of work into it. I'm sure the front wheels are way out there in order to fit the wider engine.....looks like a hot wheel toy!

Interesting engine choice... the Ford 200ci I6 is not exactly a performance engine (especially in USA trim) and is quite heavy. With all that effort, I expected a V8 or similar...

Really seems like a big waste of both time and money.

Agree.

I mean it's his money and time, so if he want's something that's just different he's succeeded.

But I really wouldn't say it's better.

In all honesty, if he was just trying to get a nice, updated sports car, he would have been much better off to buy a nice, used Miata for about $5000.
